Inno texted last night that he was in the ABS area. Not even in the compound, but quite near the compound. Awww, how sweet of him to remember me. Its nice to know that friends remember you once in a while :)

I want to cry right now. People borrow money from me, as if I don't need the money too. As if I don't have bills to pay like rent, water, electricity, labandera, etc. They ask me to pasa-load to them or ask me to call them and talk for a lengthy time, as if I don't pay for my own phone bill. I don't even have savings to speak of, for crying out loud. I buy clothes in the ukay-ukay shops just so I can have "new" clothes to wear in the office. My weekend lunch costs P35 only. Even if it tastes really bad, or I'm so sawa with what I'm eating, I eat it, just so I can spend a little more on myself when I'm in the office.
But its really not fair when a person borrows a huge amount from you, but an hour after you agreed to lend the person the money, you hear the person say "Tara order tayo sa Amazon." Ugh! It's not just right at the moment. Some other day I guess, but not on the same afternoon. If the person only knew that the money I lent is all I have in my ATM. Sigh.
Not because I'm single means I don't have bills to pay. Or that I have savings. I live on a per payday basis. I wanna lug around a poster or placard which says "I'm poor. Don't borrow money from me." Heck! I can't even afford to buy a new TV or a new electric fan. Jeez. And they have the guts to borrow money from me.
I know its my fault too because I can't say no to my friends. You know me, I want to help people. Because I believe in good karma. That when the time comes I'm gonna need the money, they will let me borrow also. But I'm afraid that will not be the case. Sigh. I want to cry.

I've been losing sleep. As in, I sleep at 12 midnight and I'm wide awake by 3AM. That is so strange. I can't catch up on sleep on weekends because I'm going out with friends. Haha. I know I have to prioritize my health that's why I'm begging Jules to give me Tylenol sleeping pills. Please, Jules, let me have some!

I took the day off from work yesterday because I wasn't feeling well. My body has been aching since Friday and then I went out with friends the whole weekend, thus stretching my body limit. Now, I'm shivering here in this freezer office. Sigh, I'm abusing my body. But I had to go to work today because I need to confirm the salaries of my staff, which was due yesterday. Yeah, I'm a good boss haha :) Just kidding! I don't want to experience not getting paid on a payday. All for good karma :)

I just spent 2K on CDs. make that 2.5K since I was at the CD sale yesterday. I think I bought around 20 CDs. Haha :) I can't remember all the titles and I can't bear to see my stash because it makes me feel guilty. I'll probably check them again this week. Haha :)

Just when I thought that my work week is over, just when I was just killing time by surfing the Net and downloading MP3s, just when I wanted to take a leave from work today, that the biggest problem of the week was unveiled. Our technology and content partner accidentally deleted our catalog of polytones. JEEZ. And since I'm the content person, I have to be on top of this. Which explains why I'm still here in the office. Great, just great.

When your roommate texts you, "one little two little three havaianas, four little five little six havaianas..", I think its time to stop buying slippers. Haha. I am aware though that I have lots of slippers already. And I have vowed not to buy a new pair anytime soon. Not unless, there's a sale sign haha :)

Halalan 2007
I just finished exercising my right to suffrage. I woke up around 8 in the morning and I walked my way to the precinct a little after 9. Yes, I walked. Its just right across the building where I live. Of course, before reaching the exact area, I was bombarded with sample ballots. I had a handful mind you. Thankfully, my precinct number did not change from the last elections. But I had a hard time finding it. While looking for my precinct, I saw Dindo Pumaren. Ooh, the brother of Franz, who I voted for again. Anyways, it took me less than an hour to finish the whole thing. There were only 5 seats per precinct so we had to wait when the seats were all filled up.
I knew it was gonna be hot, so I wore a sleeveless top. A red, sleeveless top, at that, because I saw on TV, when I woke up, that the President is wearing red today. So, I grabbed my red, sleeveless top. Haha, yeah, I'm easily influenced.
I just hope my ballot gets counted. Well, cheating doesn't happen on the individual ballots but on the election returns. So, I think that's fine with me. To all those not voting, you don't have a single right to complain on the results haha :)

An officemate turned 29 recently and it scared the hell out of me because it made me realize I'm turning 28 on my upcoming birthday. Can somebody stop the time?!? I can't believe I'll be 28 soon! Yeah, time flies at lightning speed.

I still don't know who to vote for tomorrow's elections! Only the Kapatiran Senators are on my list for now. And Chiz Escudero because I like his style. And Angara because Jules coerced me to vote for him. She's friends with Angara's daughter. Haha :)
My family is voting for TU. Because they are government employees. They are not voting straight TU but majority of the senatorial ticket will be TU candidates.
My sister said the opposition has been hitting on my aunt on the local AM radio stations. She's a government treasurer and the opposition is claiming she's been collecting taxes illegally. Haha. Funny, we should be driving Audi's by now if she was doing that. Heck! They even dug up the heart transplant of my uncle. The opposition is claiming we got the money from the government to pay for the hospital bills. Haha. My lola will rise from her grave if she knew what they have been saying. And I bet, they wouldn't be talking about that if my lola is alive today.
I never imagined something like this would happen. It's so telenovela-ish.

Happy Mother's Day! :)
Speaking of, the guard at the ground floor lobby greeted me "Happy Mother's Day!" OMG! Do I look that old already and be mistaken to be married or have a kid already?!? Oh my. Oh no. I think I need to dye my hair again so that my white hairs will not be visible and I will look "younger." Haha, pathetic attempt to cover up age.

Erwin called me up earlier to tell me Nigel was with them. So I immediately rushed to where they were and played with Nigel.
I asked Nigel if he wants to eat and he said "I want 1 hotdog and 2 bread." That means, he wants a hotdog sandwich. Haha :) He thinks the sliced bun are 2 pieces of bread. So cute :) He kept on saying that the hotdog is yummy. Poor kid. Haha :)
And then he found out that my celfone has games. And he kept playing until my phone almost ran out of batt. As if he understood what he was playing! He was just pressing the keys around. Haha :)
Afterwards, he was showing off and was dancing Akon's Smack That. Hahaha. Terrible dance. Even his parents don't know where he got the steps.
It's so nice to play with kids once in a while. You kinda wish you were still that innocent :)

Go buy one now! Super sulit! Do check out the Rhythms del Mundo website.

A few days back, it was reported that Jinggoy Estrada will run for the next presidential elections. I was brushing my teeth then and I stopped what I was doing because I couldn't believe what I was hearing. And then Jules texted me asking if I was watching the news. I replied back with "Let's get out of here." I was so surprised by her answer "Let's relocate to Spain."
EASY!
I don't know if she was serious or not, or if I will laugh at her reply. Well, let's see on 2010 if we will relocate or not. Haha :)

Our Italian content partner asked me these questions:
If there is anything that can help us to get further insight on what the rain season represents for pilipinos, that would be great.
In many countries rain is perceived like a drag, and understanding how the season is perceived would be of help.
Mind boggling for those who live most of their lives in a tropical country, where there are only 2 seasons. Rain or Shine. I couldn't gather any insight as I perceive rain as just part of our daily lives. Its summer now but its been raining the past 2 days. Its that weird getting asked that question. Its like getting asked by a sociology student for a thesis paper.
The first thing that came to mind was "wet feet." Stacey said rainy season depresses her because she remembers when she was still a kid, her parents wouldn't let her out of the house.
But today, since its raining, it means she's gonna get wet because she doesn't have an umbrella. Haha :)
Rain is romantic, as we've seen in countless movies and tv shows. Sharing an umbrella. Kissing in the rain. You know the drill.
Rainy season though may mean power outage, floods, and water-borne diseases. Rainy season here in the country is beneficial to the grade school and high school students as they almost always don't have classes when there is a typhoon visiting the country. Haha :)
Rainy season is not something as we look forward to like how people look forward to having snow or the change of color of the leaves come autumn or the bloom of the flowers come spring. Its not a sight to see nor an event to get excited with.
At least, it got me to thinking outside the daily grind of work haha :)
So what's your insight on the rainy season? :)

English of Pechay
Mei and I were discussing last night about the politician Pichay and how his campaign is very effective. And then Mei asked me the English word for the vegetable, pechay. I couldn't answer her because I didn't know the answer.
So today, on our way to work, I asked Tec. She answered me, "repolyo". Oh-kay, "repolyo" is not an English word. In the office I asked Stacey, and she answered "cabbage." A few people popped me their responses as well as it was my YM status. Only Julie got it right. Chinese cabbage is the English translation for pechay. I confirmed it with Wikipedia.
Afterwards, people asked me why I was asking. I said, "Nothing." Really, there's nothing to it. Just a simple question that needs to be answered or else it will bug the hell out of you.
Interesting day so far :)

nakamamatay
Lifted from the MMDA signs, i say "Huwag mag check ng Friendster, nakamamatay." My heart did die though last Thursday. Those 3 words "In A Relationship" were very painful that day. Thank God! Friends were there to rescue me. And the Myx Live taping of Up Dharma Down lifted my spirits :)
Watch out for Up Dharma Down's cover of APO's Kaibigan in the second installment of APO covers :)

blogging again
So many of my friends knew about my blog and then they would pester me with questions about my post. Sometimes they forget how private I am. That if I don't tell you the story, don't even try to pry. That's why my old blog had updates via Twitter only. Haha :) Just so it had updates.
I felt I couldn't breathe. I knew my friends will quiz me forever on my posts. Whatever is in the blog, that's all you're gonna get. But I guess they couldn't read that from me. But I say, curiosity killed the cat. Haha :) I would most probably clam up more and nothing will come out from me.
Anyways, so much has been going on with my life that I want to express it somewhere. So here I am, in the middle of work, creating a new blog. I hope this will help me move on :) He has.
Sigh, why is the L word, life's pre-occupation?
